Megane R26.R With A Big Spec and Brilliant Story

A very rare Renaultsport Megane R26.R which was featured in Evo magazine in 2012 due to the fantastic story of it's original owner being a lady of 70 years of age when she bought this fantastic car new. She had done so after seeing it featured in Evo during the press launch and falling in love. When she went down to her local Renault dealer Evo magazine in hand to order one for her 70th birthday she requested production number 70 and quite brilliantly the dealership were able to achieve this. Once she took delivery of her stunning new Megane R26.R she chose to use the car as her track toy in the main but also it was used occasionally for the trip to the shops...a task shared by her daily car which was a Porsche 997 Turbo!!! Quite a woman by all accounts.

The car spec'd in Galcier White was kept in her ownership until 2017 when the last owner bought it and again used it mainly as a track toy which ultimately they were designed for.

The car benefits from having an amazing unrivalled history file which is absolutely full of every invoice throughout it's life and includes the original bill of sale.

It also has a full service history with every one of those services being carried out at Renault.

Invoices also include an amazing £6325 at Backdraft Motorsport for their Stage 2 Hybrid Turbo Conversion for the original owner. Braided brake hoses were also added at the time at their recommendation. Furthermore a Helix ceramic competition clutch with single mass lightened flywheel was added recently along with new upgraded brake discs. The list of invoices really does go on with regards to paperwork and must be seen.

On top of this the previous owner tells me new belts and water pump were fitted in December 2018 when the clutch was fitted. New rear hubs and discs fitted earlier this year. Rear axle was stripped off, grit blasted and powder coated and refitted with new Bilstein B8 shock absorbers and lowered springs. All brake calipers have been stripped, painted and refitted with new seals
